The Gustafson RV LED Pendant Light part # 277-000451 has a rod that is threaded on both ends to accommodate the nut that holds the pieces together. Shortening it is possible but not an easy task. You would need to disassemble the fixture. Cut the tube down to you desired length. Then you would have to use a tap and die set to replace the threads back on to the rod which is where the difficulty would come in. view full answer...
On the Gustafson RV LED Ceiling Light w/ Shade part # 277-000469-499 it can pretty easily be disassembled for painting and reassembled. There are a few screws holding it together but it would be something you can do with very common hand tools. view full answer...
